Chendi Qu (屈晨迪)
Welcome to my personal website!
I’m a final year PhD student from the Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. I am very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Jianping He and Prof. Xiaoming Duan in IWIN-FINS Lab. I received my B.E. degree advised by Prof. Yilin Mo in the Department of Automation from Tsinghua University, China, in 2021. I’m currently an intern in AgiBot mentored by Dr. Jianlan Luo, working on VLA post-training and RL fine-tuning.
My research background lies in the intersection of optimal control and optimization. During my Phd, I mainly focus on learning from demonstrations (inverse optimal control) applied for robots. I dedicate to build a bridge between optimal control and reinforcement learning communities as a long-term goal.

2025 Sep: I started an internship at Agibot Embodied Intelligence Center RL Lab!
2025 Jul: My paper on model selection for inverse RL is accepted by IEEE CDC 2025!
2024 Dec: I went to CDC in Milan, Italy and received the IEEE CSS Graduate Collaboration Fellowship Award (top 10 worldwide)! Congrats!!
2024 Dec: I won the 2024 SJTU Zhengyang SEIEE Scholarship!
2024 Sep: My paper on the inverse optimal control is accepted by IEEE TAC!
2024 Aug: I started a visit in UCSD SOC-lab advised by Prof. Yang Zheng.
2023 Dec: I completed my dissertation proposal.
